Getting 3G on Galaxy S2

I am unable to get 3G on my Galaxy S2. I have set up APN for WAP/MMS/Internet as per Network provider configuration but stll no joy. Once I get within reach of a friendly We-Fi all my emails etc come tumbling in. Any ideas from folk out there?

Which provider do you have? That way maybe we can reset your APN settings to see if that would fix it
