Hi -- I am ot a computer nut. I am trying to root my Kindle Fire. And, I hae used all the steps in one approach to this. But, even though my laptop says I have successfully installed the Kindle drivers, I cannot find them in the device manager. Nor, even with the Kindle hooked up through a usb able, it does not show up when I go the Computer drives. Any ideas? Thanks.

Have you tried a different usb cable or a different port on the computer?
