Root Getting Bluetooth to trigger Voice Search (Not Voice Dial)

Is there any way to get your bluetooth headset (I am using Moto Hx1) to trigger the Voice Search function (so you can command via your headset) instead of the Voice Dialer?

I want to be able to dictate texts via voice search + Bluetooth headset, but can't because voice dialer does not have a text function and i can't trigger voice search with my bluetooth.

I don't know about the default voice search but have you considered installing Vlingo? It has the blue tooth search capability, you might be looking for.
