Getting contacs from Gmail account?

Hello, I just got a HTC 3D as a replacement for my Samsung Epic that I broke. I have a gmail account but don't know how to get all my contacs to this phone. (I did it easy enough with the old phone) I did the sync all option but it didn't add them. Any help/ideas?

Once you add the gmail email address to your phone and have it sync it should automatically add all those email contacts to your phone's contacts.

Were you saving contact information to your Google account or to the phone?

If you were saving to Google, on a desktop, log in and view your contacts to verify they are correct.

If you saved them to the old phone, then you information is lost.

Also, make sure whatever account you saved your contacts to, you add to you device. Then set it to sync. This will take time based on the number of contacts you have.
