Getting galaxy s3?

Did anyone give in and get the galaxy s3? I bought the RAZR maxx yesterday and fell in love with it. Was gonna get the s3 today but held off now idk what to do. Any advice...did anyone go for it and regret it or love it? Thanks in advance

I had a Droid X, preordered the Galaxy S3 and had it for 3 days and returned it for a Maxx. The S3 is a beautiful phone, the rave reviews are mostly right. I couldn't get used to the feel of the phone, even though it's virtually the same size as the Maxx, the rounded corners made it feel bigger to hold. I found that all the touted features were pretty much useless to me, the goofy nature theme, swishy opening screen, etc got old immediately. The one feature that was great was the Smart Stay, where the camera watches to see if you're looking at the phone and keeps the screen on.

I ended up customizing it and it ended up looking just like my old X so what's the point. I'm loving the Maxx, just feels right.

I have the S3 currently and am returning it tomorrow to exchange it for (I think) a MAXX. I just don't love the phone like I thought I would and I think I got a lemon. It has problems holding a WiFi signal in areas where there is excellent coverage, very poor download speeds where I'm at (3G only, fringe reception area) even though my husband's Droid 4 gets very good download speeds, data signal cuts out completely, the phone is just too big for me, and I've found I don't like Touch Wiz and ended up changing the whole thing with Go Launcher.

Don't get me wrong - for the right person (someone in an excellent reception area who has big hands) this phone is great. The screen is beautiful, it's just freaking fast, screen transitions are smooth as silk, but for me I just found myself not liking it - which was really disappointing because I was so excited for this phone.
