Help Getting GPS to work using GPSCLRX (also, how to get your SPC code)!

Just an update, first try just the GPS Test app before using GPSCLRX.

I got a new warranty phone recently, same crap, GPS (Maps, etc.) wouldn't work. I tried the GPS Test app and that got it going. So try that first before using GPSCLRX.

I will update the OP now with this info.

thanks a million bajillion times. i did this before and it didn't work, i think the key is to indeed wait a while and then reboot. the first time, i hit the back button soon after and then rebooted only after it didnt work, and it still didn't work. but NOW i had more patience and left the gps reboot screen up for probably about 5 minutes, then i rebooted.

i wish there would be a fix so we wont have to do this every time we use nav, kinda annoying:mad:

Actually, the only thing you need to do every time you use Nav, is to turn on GPS and then use GPS Test, wait for lock. The other steps only need to be done once, and only if GPS Test by itself doesn't do the trick.

If using GPS Test is what you meant by "do this every time" then I agree with you. :D I agree it's annoying, but at least it works...

I was having the same issue but had to jumps through hoops cause i have the cricket version not the metro version. Sandman45654 pointed me to enabling the hidden menus to allow activation of the gps reset but the meid converter didnt work because they r all messed up and goofy. after a lil more internet scrubbing i came across the spc code for the crickets. 000000, after i put that in i was able to do everything everyone else talked about and it worked like a charm!
