Root getting maxx into recovery

I'm trying to root my maxx, for no other reason than to use TB, but i can't get past the android on his back with "no command" underneath. I know i have to get into recovery to adb push the jar file and root, just can't get there. Felling kinda dumb right now. Thanks!

Nevermind...just had to get the usb debugging turned on. Been quite a while since i needed adb.
