Ugh... I find a Beats Music appand Famiingo in my app drawer?!! What kind of bloat did they add with this update? hmm...

The Beats Music is a pay in monthly AT&T billing, in the sort of Pandora. Around $9.00 per month. I downloaded the Kit Kat 4.4.2 just an hour ago and the Beats Music icon is in my app drawer. Go to Google Play Store , my apps- is there too with the others AT&T bloaties. You can go to settings-apps-and disable it.
Good luck with that. I don't gotYeah, I know... I just hate having to add one more thing on my long list of apps already disabled. It's nuts they wont let you uninstall some bloat that doesnt come from AT&T... like Kindle reader for peats sake!
But I had a error message that comes up at boots that the posted fixes will not resolve, so I backed up my photos and am wiping it clean and starting over. Figured that would probably happen when kitkat arrived anyways.![]()
Can you guys confirm if you can change 3rd party sms apps as your default messaging app (evolve sms, textra etc)? Supposedly this is a Kitkat feature but I dunno if it only applies to stock. That's one of the things I'm looking forward to.

Yes when you run a third party messaging app you'll see an option to make it your default on the app. If you go back to the stock app or another, it will also ask you... like browser wars.
I have found though that the ATT Messaging app now supports group messaging with this kitkat update... so I no longer need Textra.
Is it perceptively faster? Any improvement in battery life? Something notable?
