Getting old events from Google Calendar

I just noticed that events on my Google Calendar that occurred more than a month before I bought my current phone (or the last time I reset my phone to factory default) do not appear on my Android Calendar. The events are visible when I visit Google Calendar on the web, but not in the calendar app on my Galaxy S3. The same thing seems to be the case with my girlfriend's Samsung Charge.

Everything syncs just fine with current and future events. The only trouble is with events more than a month old. I like to go back and review what I did two months ago or two years ago. Is there a fix for this?

I don’t think that has anything to do with your reset, I think it’s always been that way and your reset caused you to notice it. At least that’s the way it’s always been for me, that the PC calendar goes back forever and the droid only a month or so.

I think that this is a Google thing.

There is a method where to basically reset all your events to amendments and the phone calendar will retrieve them; you will need to search this forum or "Google" for theh method.

You lose the old ones if you do a hard reset.

I should remind myself as I have my phone events going back to 1996; if I hard reset I will have to re-retrieve those.

There is a similar problem with reading far in advance.
