Getting phone into Dock Mode without a dock

Does anyone know how to get the phone to go to a particular dock mode (car, home ect) without having the phone in the dock. I have a desk dock at work but I just put an otterbox on my phone and now it will not fit in the dock. I like to keep it in the dock mode at work and use it as a desk clock.

i know it is possible on a sense phone a couple ways. can you not just open the desk clock app without it being in dock mode??

i'm sure there are some good desk clock apps you could use though...

There's an app called "Razr Dock" that's free and turns your phone into the desk dock. It just turns on the app for you so it's the same thing people see who have the dock.

So far I haven't found one that turns on the car dock but there are many free ones out there that look similar.

I know that with the car dock and the otterbox commuter you can merely remove the inner shell of the doc and the phone fits perfectly with the otterbox installed.
look very closely at your desk dock and see if there is an inner shell that can be pryed out of it so that a larger phone will set in without problems. This was the case with my motorola car dock

RAZR Dock is exactly what the OP needs. Works perfectly. For car dock, there is one called Car Mode. It's a little weird in that it makes the home button put you in car dock, and you have to actually click Car Mode again to exit it completely, instead of just exit in the app. Other than that it seems to work as expected.
