Root Getting ready to root, a few questions before.

Hello, I've decided to root my phone but before I do so I have a few questions.

The main reason I'm rooting is because I want to get rid of all the bloatware that came with my phone. I bought my phone off Amazon (I have the GSM version - PrimoU), and it appears to have what I believe is an Asian ROM. Since I'm from Costa Rica, it doesn't make much sense for me to have an "Asian" phone. So now that I'm rooting, I thought I'll just go ahead and ask: is it possible to replace the ROM with the stock one from another region? If I do so, would that ROM come with a whole lot of bloatware?

On the topic of ROM's, in the event that I need to restore the stock ROM, from this thread, how do I know which one is the correct RUU for my device? There seem to be quite a few different ones from Asia...

Third thing, before starting, what's better: Titanium Backup or Nandroid? Different people suggest me one or the other, I just don't know which one is better.

And finally, if I root my phone, would I not be able to receive software updates? I believe I read somewhere that you would need to re-root your phone after every update, or something along those lines, is that correct?

Excuse me for all the questions, it's the first time I root a phone and my very first smartphone, so bear with me if I'm a little nervous messing with my phone's system files. I've already flashed files to my previous feature phone, so I already have previous experience doing similar things, just not on an Android smartphone.

It's not possible to flash an RUU from another region, but you can flash a custom ROM bssed on a stock ROM from another region via CWM Recovery. I had an Asia One V running MoDaCo which is based on the generic HTC EU ROM which has been de-bloated with many other improvements.

On the topic of ROM's, in the event that I need to restore the stock ROM, from this thread, how do I know which one is the correct RUU for my device? There seem to be quite a few different ones from Asia...
I only see one, 1.58.707.3.

Third thing, before starting, what's better: Titanium Backup or Nandroid? Different people suggest me one or the other, I just don't know which one is better.
I'd use both. Nandroid backs up the whole ROM, Titanium individual apps. It's easier to restore one app you shouldn't have removed but also necessary to have the ROM backed up in case you bork it big time.

And finally, if I root my phone, would I not be able to receive software updates? I believe I read somewhere that you would need to re-root your phone after every update, or something along those lines, is that correct?
If you are running a rooted stock ROM it will download the update but be unable to install it unless you restore the stock recovy and re-lock the boot loader. Once that's done and it updates you do have to re-unlock, install CWM Recovery and re-root.

No problem. We don't want you to bork your phone either :D
