Getting rid of stock email program

I have installer K9 Mail and love it. I want to shut down the stock email program. I have deleted all of the information that was used to set up the original email account, but it keeps coming back. Is there any way to delete the program completely?

I was having problems with the stock email program bringing emails that I have read and deleted. This is my business account and I get lost of email. Moving to K9 Mail does not do that. I also like the batch capability that it offers.
