Root Getting seriously annoyed!!

I have a hero on 3uk and am trying to downgrade my rom so i can root, but keep getting the 131 error customer id. Iv have downgraded to the first 3uk rom no probs, but cant go any lower.

I have made a goldcard, can some one please please help me as im about to break my phone, my laptop and probably someother harmless technolgical component i have in proximity.

So you've used the goldcard to downgrade your stock rom? Have you now tried running instant root?

I have downgraded to 3uks first rom, but cant go any lower due to this error,
instantroot doesnt work either! I have really run out of ideas

You should only have to downgrade once. And if you're using the oldest ROM then it definitely won't block any of the apps required for rooting, so you should be fine.

3 were late comers tho, so their oldest rom is still

flashrec and instantroot dont work what do i do?

I think you need to downgrade to a generic rom, not a branded one. I'm sure this was the step it gave in the sticky at the top - when I downgraded last night, I couldn't see the 3 specific stuff like planet 3 anywhere.

You need to downgrade to the generic Hero rom. This is the guide I used to root my 3 branded Hero last night, and it worked like a charm. There is a link to the rom you need to use within the guide.
