Root getting the adb to interface

Hi i know im really new to this but im trying to figure out how to install the interface for the usb driver. Apparently the tablet wont reconize the device at all so...
I am trying to develop on the device so i have debugging set. but after installing fresh sdk-8.1 and usb-driver 4.0 it still says theres no new software for the device does anyone have an idea what to do

Have you turned on usb debugging mode?

yea i have the debugging mode set on the tablet its weird cuz as i have it check boxed once i plug it in the check box becomes transparent so i cant access the buttom anymore but yea i already went through that step
