getting up to speed with android roms

Hi everyone,

my new phone arrives tomorrow, haven't modified a phone in a few years but i think this will change with the Gs2 i just bought. Been reading lots and looking forward to starting off simple. About to post a question on i9100p roms, its titled "i9100p uk orange or uk 02 ics rom?" so if you have any suggestions i'd appreciate them.
