Root Getting Up to Speed

I have a feeling I'm an update or 2 behind the new Gingerbread OTA. In that case how should I get back up to speed? Do I have to SBF back to where I was and just run an OTA or should I just factory reset?

Here's my current setup

Version.2.3.340.MB810.Verizon.en.US

Android Version
2.2.1

Baseband Version
BP_C_01.09.07

Kernel Version
2.6.32.9-g5562e1
w30471@il93lnxdroid08#1

Build Number
1.4.1

ERI version
5

PRL version

If you haven't done anything to the phone (root) then you should be able to get the ota with no problem. Should for any reason it fails then do a factory reset, reactivate your phone, and the ota update should work without a problem.

um, OP, next time you might want to put that stuff in the information that you post
you will have to get back to stock somehow
options are yours

I left Apex out of the build number sorry. I'll make sure I include that next time, just figured since I put it in the root section it would be understood that my phone is rooted.

in order for you to get the GB, you need to SBF back to stock, if you maderstcok you will bootloop

once you sbf back, you can reroot and install droid x or droid 2 bootstrapper and install the 2 file part of .596 and then you are up to date, just make sure you download the rooted deodexed version of it

yeah but just being rooted alone won't stop you from getting the OTA , you would just lose root.

its all good though. Jump to stock....oh wait i'll ask you ...Did you happen to make a nandroid backup as soon as you rooted Froyo? before you froze/deleted/renamed any bloat, if so just restore to that point and then pull the ota. Unless you want GB rooted then follow VS's suggestions.

i feel like i have typed that part about the nandroid backup of stock rooted 100 times in the last 12 hours. ...lol

Trophy might I suggest you rethink your Sig? Change it to something like "ALWAYS MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP!"......lol......might be easier on you.
