Help Gettting two pop-ups when receiving texts?

Is that normal?

I installed Handcent which is what I'd like to use. I checked hand cent delivery report under the hand cent settings and unchecked delivery report from carrier.

I searched all the other menus and can't figure it out.

I get one popup that has a done/later/eply window and then another underneath that is bigger that has little icons(paper,mike,person,trash and volume)

Is this normal behavior? Or is there a setting that I just cannot find....thank you!

In the built in messaging app, uncheck 'received notifications'. Not sure what device or specific messaging software you're using, so can't be more specific. But that's along the lines of what you're looking for.

Also as an FYI if you open up Handcent then click the Star at the top right of your screen and select FAQ it will open up the FAQ list and the 3rd item on that list is "I get multiple notifications when I receive a message. How do I fix this?"

Thanks...I checked that out and I actually have already followed the steps correctly... I can't figure it out. Going to try a reboot... Not sure what's going on... Maybe I'll delete hand cent and reinstall and see if that would work.

I'm a total idiot...I still had chompsms installed. I thought I deleted it from my phone....sorry
