gif animation problem

[cluelessluke]

Hey all!

I can't get gifs to play when I receive or send them over a text. I believe my Moto X thinks they're just pictures in my text messages. Is there a solution to this?

Thanks!

They ARE just pictures - a series of still pictures with instructions of how fast to switch from one to the other in displaying them. MMS apps don't see the instructions, they just see the first picture and display it. Email them instead.

So I know very little about how this works. Is the green smiley face text massaging service thing MMS? Is there a way to change that to SMS?

Nevermind. Hangouts is the way to go.
