Help GIF on Note 8

I can't figure out how to get/use gifs? No icons or buttons to push? Nothing on my email or messaging? I'm using the stock messaging. I did turn the anamation down to .5 in the developer options maybe that's keeping me from seeing it?
 
The live messages using the s-pen saves what you write as a gif. Is that what your talking about? Also in messaging on the keyboard hold down the microphone icon to bring up the different options to message.

While I'm here asking.... As I said, I reduced the anamation in my developer screen to .05 to make my phone a little faster. What are the anamation tabs used for?

Lost of info on the internet about dev options. If your re not used to tinkering around in there I urge you to exercise caution when changing settings.

I use .05 to keep things snappy. If you have those setting turned off you wont see the popup dialog boxes when you tap and hold on the desktop of the note 8. Turning on animations will allow that to happen, as well as "animations" within some apps that use animations.

The longer you set the interval, the slower the animations and transitions are on the phone.

Some people may want to see longer transitions/animations, some may want faster, or off.

You can also find gifs online and attach those to a text message.
