GIFs not showing inline

When I used the GBoard GIF feature to insert GIFs in my gmail/Android emails, it always inserted them inline and not as attachments.

But I uninstalled and reinstalled GBoard and now in only inserts GIFs as attachments.

How can I make it insert GIFs inline?

what phone do you have? what gmail version do you have?

reason i asked is because with gmail version 7.3 which came out in 2017 allows gifs via gboard.

I still have the same button to insert GIFs. But it used to always insert them inline. Now it inserts them as an attachment.

If you want GIF inline then why you uninstall and reinstall it. I don't understand this.

1. I am already using the newest version of gmail for Android.

2. I had to uninstall Gboard for another reason. When I reinstalled it, I started having this problem where GIFs are not inserted inline, they are inserted as attachments. I am using the newest version of Gboard and the newest version of Gmail.

Let me ask a question. When you guys insert a GIF from the button to insert GIFs, does it insert the GIF inline like it used to do for me?
