gingerbread did bad things

so i downloaded gingerbread for my thunderbolt and everything seemed ok. there was only 2 things i noticed that i was wondering if anyone could fix. first of all, for some reason my clock application is gone. what the hell happened to it and is there anyway i can get it back? also, facebook isn't correctly syncing to my phone. like whenever i try to sync my contacts with facebook it says its syncing, but then it will last say it synced with my contacts in september (i turned of htc sense for facebook for awhile) Anyway I can fix this?

Gingerbread raped my wife.

Sorry, I couldn't help it. With regards to your issues, I don't have an answer. Does the clock app exist in "Manage Applications"?

HTC did away with the clock app in the drawer with GB, you can make a clock widget and click on it to open the application but you won't be able to get the icon in the app drawer.

I am not sure about the facebook issue as I don't use facebook

If you're running Sense and have the stock flip clock widget, you can click the time on flip clock to access the clock functions.

You can use revolutionary to root then downgrade. You may be able to make a shortcut to the clock or just download an app from the market that puts a clock icon in your app drawer.

Just put the tiny widget on your homescreen. Its the size of a normal app icon... I don't see the issue. Why dont people who use it so much have it on their homescreen in the first place?

Try a battery pull, for a bit and see if that helps. If you call vzw they will say to factory reset

well I'm having other issues.
my phone has been shutting off randomly. not restarting. but turning off.

Mine did that maybe twice on mr2... no explanation. Only twice in 3 months, though it still caused concern. Yeahha is right id just factory reset and clean install.

The only bug I've noticed is slightly lower volume on ringtones and notifications. Its been beaten to death on other sites. Very slight. If I hit the volume up button once on max ringer volume its quieter than usual and if I hit it again quickly its normal max loudness.. odd but I'm not losing sleep. Hopefully it gets fixed someday but everything else is so overwhelmingly positive, speed, better battery life etc.

I don't know, it may be just me, but I think it to be within normal operation if your phone/PC/etc. needs a restart once in a while. I mean, it's going to hit a snag at some point and either freeze or restart. Mine did it once, had to pull the battery, never happened again. With all the stuff we put on our phones, it is no surprise to find apps that conflict or mess up something. Of course, if it is happening all the time, then that's another story. Just my two cents.
