Gingerbread Android OS – Released at the Web 2.0 Summit | Staho.com

Could the article be misleading or something really happened?

[ogwilson]

Can't imagine anything's happened considering the event doesn't start for another couple of hours.

Erm this doesn't actually make any sense does it? I thought Eric Schmidt was talking at 2:35pm Pacific time and it's only around 12:30pm now.

Edit: Darn beaten too it while trying to work out exactly what pacific time was.

[lordofthereef]

Well it's now far later than that. I assume we would/should have heard something by now?

[Rusty]

Next few weeks says Eric Schmidt.

Next few weeks says Eric Schmidt.

That can mean virtually anything LOL!

[ShadowDroidX]

True. Next few weeks could mean virtually anything, so I'm just going to wait my turn.

I got a system update from verizon today and it said it was updating my droid 2 to 2.3, I got excited at first but was sorely let down when I realized it was not the android 2.3 update but some other type of system update that happened to have a version 2.3. I am still on 2.2... :-(
