Help Gingerbread sound issue

I've installed the leaked version of Gingerbread on my Galaxy S and now I'm having trouble with the sound.

When I call or receive calls from someone I cannot hear anything but the other person CAN.
When I play a video I can see it but I cannot hear it.
When I try to play a song with Mortplayer I cannot hear anything.

BUT when I set the ringtone settings or the phones volume I can hear everything. I can even preview the songs I want to use as ringtones.

Can anyone assist? I really need to be able to make/receive calls ASAP. I'm currently applying for several job offers and waiting for a response.

Insane development to this matter. When I plug the headphone on the Galaxy S I can hear the sound through the SPEAKERS!!! If I pull the headphone jack out there's the speakers stop playing the sound again.

And they say this release of gingerbread is absolutely not a beta. It really is the official release.....yeah right! I'd go back to 2.2.1 if I was you.

I have installed the official version of Gingerbread and not getting any problems like this whatsoever.
One plus to this is that now I can hear the caller over my own headphones + ear-buds when in a conversation, whereas before (in 2.2.1) I had to take my earphones out and listen through the phone's earpiece.

You sure you have 2.3.3 JVK installed? with 512.pit & repartition ticked? and format sd card + clear cache + factory reset?
