Gingerbread Update

eh? DroidX/Droid2 gingerbread updates already occurred some months back. For DroidX at least, there is another gingerbread update rolling out soon with ending .602 thats coming out sometime soon.

Yeah, and those updates caused a lot of problems. They completely pulled the Droid 2 Global 2.3 update along with the Droid Pro 2.3 update because of the issues that everyone was having on the X and the Droid 2. The fixed version of 2.3 for the X is supposed to be coming out this month and then the others are supposed to follow.

I lost the ability to place calls/text when I did the 2.3 update zip so I went back...

No major problems for me. A few quirks here and there, but nothing too out of the ordinary.

Not sure if this is related to the update, but I've been having major problems with any sort of messaging lately. Texting and gmail is freezing all the time, annoying the hell out of me. Need to find out the problem.

mine failed to update using the zip file. said unable to update using the file. i tried several time and got the same error every time.

My wife handed her phone to me this morning and asked what this notification was. I go, "its your GB". Yay!!!

Just received my GB update this morning. Some new colors and lots of new stuff to explore.

I'm in the Seattle area.

The file doesnt seem to work!
The error im getting is
"E:Error in/sdcatd/update.zip
(status 7)
Installation aborted."
What do i do??
