Root Gingerbreak Problem

Flashed to stock upgraded to 2.2 tried to root using gingerbreak 1.2 does not work just hangs for 4 hours so far. What can I do to root?

2.2 can't be rooted by gingerbreak. You need z4root for 2.2, 2.2.1 is used by gingerbreak.

It is 2.2.2 gingerbreak should work

Z4root only works for 2.1. 2.2 and up you need GingerBreak-v1.20.apk

If you upgraded to 2.2.2, I might be able to help---gingerbreak didn't work for me either. I upgraded to 2.2.2. I tried to root with z4root v1.3, then gingerbreak v1.1, v1.2, v1.3. No luck. Finally, ShinySide suggested I try SuperOneClick. Success! See my last post in this thread for more details. Also see a blog post I wrote about rooting the Ascend with Android 2.2.2.

I've tried every solution on this post, and still can't get my Huawei Ascend M860 2.2.2 rooted.
Tried z4root, gingerbreak ans SuperOneClick. None of them worked.
Even tried to downgrade to MetroPCS stock, but coud not fastboot my phone.
I'd appreciate any help. Thanks
