Help Glitchy Home/Apps button, ghost buttons

pjboardin

Lurker
My wife and I both purchased Epic 4g Touches from BB about a month ago. They both have been great (although, I have noticed the "charger" unresponsive screen issue with mine a couple times), but my wifes started acting up last night.

While messing around on a twitter app or messaging... random buttons start appearing to be touched, like a ghost is working her touch screen. Specifically, the "talk-to-text" mic keeps popping up. The screen becomes nearly unresponsive, and if we are lucky enough to get it back to the homescreen, the Home/App button toggles on its own. Back and forth until the screen locks completely.

We've tried restarting and pulling the battery. I guess the next step is to reboot the phone. I think I've seen one similar problem that ended up needing replacement.

Any suggestions??

I guess im to new and havent replyed to anyones post.. so can someone that CAN.. will you please post one with Best keyboard to use on the SII is?

Thanks

Well, I had this issue and I am one of those customers where If I pay a good amount of money, I don't want to "deal" with a defective device.

So, I went back and got a new Epic Touch, because mine was having the same exact problem as your wife's. Turns out it had all to do with the charger. When using the charger connected to a laptop, it's not that bad. When using the outlet charger it comes with, it usually goes haywire.

So, its really the charger that's making it that way, and not the phone itself.

Hope I helped!
