Glitchy Multitouch

I have been having problems trying to play the Colin McRae rally game on my phone. It's hard to control the car and accelerate, I then downloaded to multitouch apps and when I put two fingers down and just move them around, it can tend to freeze and act glitchy. Does anyone else have the issue, I'm wondering if it's hardware, or software? This is a beautiful device, but seems like this phone can be glitchy, like ZTE dropped the ball on software.

I have an issue when texting or writing via swiping across the keyboard. Sometimes mid word the phone behaves as if I took my finger off the keyboard even though my finger is in constant contact with the keyboard. Could be hardware wise but I doubt it because it only happens sometimes .

Other times I can txt via swiping just fine. To me it seems it doesn't register every touch but I notice it only on the bottom half of the display.

Another issue is when I scroll a webpage... occasionally the phone acts like I'm clicking on whatever my finger tocuhes as I swipe down the page. Annoying.

I could probably cover it under warranty with metro but I hate the games they play with that. When I had to return the Stylo (original) because it would reset itself infrequently for no reason and I had similar touch related issues first I had to go and they factory reset it (despite I obviously tried it myself)

Then they said if I has more problems bring it back and we'll exchange it. So a couple days later the problems are back. I drive over (because they have "see it for themselves") it wouldn't do it once I was in the store. I waited around for 2 hrs trying to see if it would misbehave again.

Nothing.

So then they said if I record it happening that it would be enough. Next day i used my phone at home and set up a camera over me (facing the screen) and within 30secs of pressing record (luckily) it went haywire and reset itself again and was lagging to the point of being unusable.

Then on my third visit (with video proof) they finally agreed to exchange it. Then I had to wait almost 2 wks and come back yet again to get my replacement.

Not worth it for me. So either the next update will address the issue or if not then it's only a hundred dollar phone. I'll either buy another or I'll just keep this as a wifi only /mini tablet device and get something else.

I'm pretty sure I'm done buying phones from metro directly. For a long time I got great phones but the last few have been defective in one way or another right out of the box irrespective of bramd/make/model. Samsung. LG. Now ZTE.

Metro can suck it.

My ZMAX PRO works great. My original ZMAX worked wonderfully (I even bought a second one). My LG STYLO worked great. The only phone I ever had that totally SUCKED was a Samsung Galaxy S3. Absolute piece of garbage. It actually got worse the longer you used it. I also hate the Apple iPhone 5s which I paid nearly $800 for on release day. It wasn't buggy or anything, I just hated it. Best two phones I've ever owned were ZMAX and ZMAX PRO.

I Guess There Are Just Good & Bad Ones Out There..
I got lucky.. and received a Great one over the counter.. no issues at all and it was $39.99 with the port a number promo.
I absolutely love the device.. Got a Great Case a Screen Protector with zero bubbles and no glitches.. I may one day get another phone.. but not for the foreseeable future.. Root or No Root.. ;)

It may be your individual unit. I have not encountered these issues on my handset. I'm pretty happy with my device actually. Only issue is software ; screen glitch, LTE signal drop. Other than that no problems.

I returned my S3 when I had it, it sucked. Ended up going with LG for my next 3 phones after the Samsung debacle. LG Marquee, LG F7, and LG Stylo all had less issues than I've experienced with any Samsung handset I've owned ; Intercept, Prevail, and S2 were garbage (I should have learned my lesson with those lol). When you buy Samsung your buying for the name, even if you say your not. They are supposed to be top of the line, but in reality they are pushing out some crappy phones for too high an asking price. I left LG because they seem to be headed In that direction. HTC is making good phones now, I had the Desire 626s and I was pretty happy with it, except the Snapdragon 210 that it uses. ZTE stole my heart with the ZMAX pro, if they continue to make great phones such as this one, they will keep me as a customer for a while.

Glad it's not just me. Input is intermittently freezing in most emulators I've been playing. Taking fingers off of screen for a moment resolved the problem.

Iys. it's a software problem I had to use my warranty to get rid of the problem if ZTE was not hard asses and could send me the update In a zip file I could just flash it and fix my first phone but noooo

Pretty much the first two phones I had with MPCS were the Zmax and the G Stylo, both served me well for the past few years before I upgraded to the Zmax Pro.

I have this issue too. What I've discovered is that if it's plugged in it quits doing it. Even is its not powered and I just plug in the cord to it. Weird.

If I were you I would just return it under warranty. You got a lemon unfortunately if you have to resort to a 'red neck' solution to stop it, LOL.
