Gmail 4.5 (Delete messages)

How do you delete messages with the new version of Gmail 4.5?

Go into settings/General Settings/Archive and delete actions. I have mine set to delete only as I dont archive I just star and leave unread if I need it later.

Once you set that up soft tap on a message until it turns blue then tap the trashcan. You can batch delete the same way. Soft tap on each message you want to delete then tap the trashcan.

I haven't figured out how to get to the archive in the mobile app yet.

You can also swipe the messages to delete, if your settings are to delete or archive and delete just as before.

You can now also empty spam and trash within the app.

I think the archived mail can be seen in the all mail label.

Go to the trash label, hit menu, the empty trash option is at the top just like spam.
