Gmail app issue

I've been having an issue with the mail ap since day one when I got it a few days ago. Emails just say "sending" also when I send myself an email it neverr comes to mycphone just my Gmail on the PC. And if it does come to my phone of doest notify me even tho I have it set to vibrate with a tone. I'll have to refresh manually. Any ideas as to why this is happening? Thanks its really annoying I gave Google sync on too and I turned of off it STILL does the same thing so m at a loss here

No sir that isn't the issue. Did that no dice. Also I noticed that the face book app does the same thing. It won't notify me. Weird cuz the entire time I've had the phone this hasn't werked. Is there some setting in gmail on pc I need to change? Thanks

Do you have background data and auto-sync enabled? It's in settings > accounts and sync

yes i do. like i said ive got the sync running with gmail and nothing. i dont know WTF is causing this not to werk. and its REALLY anoying
