Gmail app on Android is a HUGE EPIC FAIL....

You think that google would put forth a much better effort for the email app on Android but ironically, its just a giant epic fail... Inbox view only?????????? WTF was Google thinking???

It really does suck that i have to use the web app in order to have the full functionality of gmail. I understand Google is moving forward with web apps and the cloud and all thatbut damn, they leave us hanging like that????

Yeah, the app is lacking, which I find very odd on a Google OS. Why do I have to scroll to the end of a conversation to reply instead of having a dedicated button at the bottom of the window to reply? But they do have less-often-used buttons like "Archive" and "Delete" there. Little things like that are just goofy design.

Inbox only? hardly. I assume you have stuff sorted under various labels? Menu > Go to labels

If there's nothing under your labels, you need to change the sync settings. Menu > more... > Settings > Labels

But I hear you. There's some stuff that's missing from the mobile that I wish was there. The funny thing is: I'm always cursing the web app for missing some really basic stuff that's in a real PC desktop app.

Novox, I swear, man.... You need to be working for Google and design their menu system.... I bet you could do a MUCH better job at creating an intuitive and logical system... I swear I went through ALL the menus EXCEPT labels cuz I thought it was for the labels I make on the desktop version. Like if I make a Facebook label and all mail from facebook goes under that label. I had no idea they considered sent, trash, spam, etc as labels thats why I never clicked on it. I feel STOOOOOOPID and i'm pretty tech savvy lol!

Thanx for that!

Now with that said, Google still needs to make the app JUST LIKE THE DESKTOP version plain and simple.

This Gmail situation is the most baffling and inexplicable issue on Android. How is it that the people who make the OS can't make a decent email program, yet they can make a perfectly capable program on iOS?

I installed the update and it 'fixes' a few minor things like "the reply button" locations. I don't a A LOT new yet though.
