GMail App Push Keeps Stopping

Just got a Sony Xperia Mini Pro, under TMobile (UK). The push email seems to only work some of the time. It seems to start off ok when I connect. The after 3 or 4 test messages it just stops working. A manual sync get the email. It seems better under wifi.

Ive got the latest version of the App.

Anyone thoughts?

I had it go a bit erratic on me a while ago and never really found out why as it just cheered up again after a while.
