Gmail App -- unread message first?

[kwalla]

Is there a way for the Android GMail app to show unread messages first?

I'm hoping I just missed the setting....

I know lots of other mail apps can do this, but I'm not really looking to switch.

Just had a look and I can't see any way of changing the sort order from date on the gmail app or my Nexus' standard e-mail app

Bit of a strange oversight ..
