where did my email app disappear to?

I'm assuming you're talking about the app not being on your home screen. Go to your app drawer and you should be able to find it there. If you want it back on your home screen you can long press the app and then drag it to your home screen. Hope this helps!
If the shortcut is missing off of your screen... you should be able to go into your all app drawer and find it. You can also long press your screen where you want your email shortcut to be and an option to install that app again should appear. Scroll through your list of apps and then click on your email app. Whala! Have fun.
