Gmail Application > how to .. ?

Hi All,

how to get the Gmail application asking for a password rather than going straight to my inbox / conversations... ?

Thanks in advance,

Wolf

The Gmail app does not log out, because it is linked to the Google account which you activated the phone with. What you need is a third party app that puts a password lock on any app you choose. Most such apps are paid, but AFAIK the app Seal is still free on GetJar now.

Thank you chanchan05 for the fast reply !

Another question ~ > what will happen if I add a second Gmail account to the phone ?
Which account will be the default one ? (when I open the Gmail app)

Thanks !

Not really sure, since I only have one Gmail account, and I don't use the Gmail app for emails (I configured to Samsung stock Email app to handle all my accounts for emails and turned off sync for Gmail). However I'd expect the primary Gmail account to be the one you used to activate the phone. Other accounts could be accessed in the Gmail account via menu>accounts.
