Help Gmail Contacts server problem or just me?

i keep all my contacts sync'ed to my gmail acount and dont store any numbers on the phone, tonight all my numbers have vanished and i cant re-sync. is anyone else having this problem?
its only with the contacts, hasnt sync'd since 5pm tonight!
