gmail contacts

I just got an asus eee transformer I set up my gmal account but when I go to compose I don't see anything that shows my contacts, can this be put into my gmail like on my computer.

Have you logged into your gmail account on the transformer? Also, are you sure all your contacts are google contacts or were they in your phone only? Log into gmails web site from a computer and see if your contacts are actually there.

yes I have logged into my gmail account on the transformer. No they were in both my computers they are on the transformer but as a seperate app not in gmil itself. on my comp. I could tap compose and then tap to and the contacts would come up for me to choose

You may be able to get on your computer and export the contacts into a CVS file. With that done you could import that file into gmail to get your contacts linked into your gmail account. Here's a link on how to do this:

when I open gmail I don't even see a compose email button. I have to go to the other app on my desk top that say's contacts

Try this: Open gmail and hit the menu button. That will give you the option to compose. Touch on the 'To' field and start typing a contact's name or email, and it'll automatically pull up the contact if it is synced right. If you go by way of the contacts app, you would select a contact or group and hit the email entry and it'll pull up gmail.
