Help Gmail/exchange sync options

First post here, appreciate any help. I'm running a Nexus 6 (unrooted/stock) and use Gmail to manage my work email through our company's exchange server. I no longer want to receive email on the weekends. Is there an option in Gmail to limit my sync on the weekends or is switching to another email client my only option?
