GMAIL help.

Hi all,
I'd like my emails deleted from the server when I delete them on the phone but it ain't happening!
I've hot an HTC Desire HD and have gmail already set up and running. However I can't find a setting anywhere that lets me set this, I can't delete my account and set it up again as it's the only email account I am using.
I've been into setup again but there's nothing relevant in there.
How do I get to look at/edit my gmail setting - the settings for pop server, smtp server etc? I'm assuming it would be in there somewhere?

Are you using the gmail app? This should work as you want by default if you are. Other mail clients may ne different.

yes I am....
You don't reckon it's to do with the gmail /googlemail issue?
My phone is setup as me@googlemail.com, whereas on the web interface I'm known as me@gmail.com !

It should not effect it but you never know.... unfortunately only a factory reset will allow you to align them. Maybe worth it though just back up everything first
