Gmail issue on stock app

So I really prefer the stock email app, even for gmail. However whenever I send an email, and I look at my sent email on pc gmail or gmail app, it looks like I not only sent the one message, but looks like I also sent a second email with the message written twice. The recipient however only gets 1 copy.

Annoying. Any idea?

May have fixed it. Deleted google account then reopened with gmai sync off. Seems ok now.

Sounds like you've got it set to keep a copy for yourself. Go to settings on email app and uncheck auto cc myself.

Have you got it checked on any other email account or on another device? Sorry I've just looked through all my email accounts and settings and can't think of or see anything else that might affect it. Maybe someone else can though.

Fixed, unchecked sent mail sync in imap settings on Gmail. Weird
