Help Gmail not sending...

I looked for this topic, but its late, and I am tired. If you can help me out...

I am receiving email just fine, but when I try and send from my Gmail app it sometimes won't send. I know about the clear cache/data option on "gmail" and "gmail storage", but how do I keep from doing that EVERY time? Thanks!

Sorry, I don't have the ultimate solution but I just wanted to let you know what I do.
I actually just refresh after sending each email, it seems to do the trick.
I dislike having to do so though, it doesn't really make sense why the send button doesn't really work the way it should
