Help Gmail not syncing

When trying to send an email from my phone, it wouldn't go--just kept saying "sending..." until I finally gave up. Then, later, I realized that not only was it not sending emails, it wasn't receiving them either. I can't get any email (gmail) nor send email from my phone either. Happened suddenly with no known cause.

Hoping there's a quick fix...help?

could be worth a shot to delete the acct and recreate it.
otherwise, a factory restore might also be worth a shot.

I'm not getting push updates for email either. Do you find a fix?

Since the Gingerbread update last week, I wasn't getting any notifications at all (no email notifications, message notifications). No LED light flashing, either. Also, my phone's ringer didn't work anymore, and instead just put out a sort of hum.

I tried whatever I could think of and nothing worked, so I did a factory reset, and now my ringtone works, my notifications work, and the LED flashing notification light works. You may have better luck with something less drastic, but a factory reset fixed everything for me.

I had the same problem once. I deleted the latest update from gmail and haven't updated since. It works for me now. Easy thing to try.
