Help Gmail notification not working

Anybody else having this trouble? I am getting e-mail on my phone, but when a new one comes through I am not getting a notification. I went into settings and don't see anywhere to change it. Thanks in advance.

It happened to me once. Turned the power completely off, rebooted, everything worked fine after that.

Gmail>Menu>More>SettingsAccount Settings for that account, Email notifications at the bottom needs to be checked.

Once the option for email notifications is checked, go into Labels to notify and set up notification ringtones and vibration settings.

Thanks Szadzik, that worked. What I don't understand is that I never changed anything in settings before. Gmail just quit working one day. Oh well.

Do you know if it has worked since that last phone update a while ago ? I've noticed that updates of this nature often kaput settings.
