Since my S7 Edge installed Nougat I'm having a problem with Gmail notifications. Previously, when I'd receive an email the led light would flash, but there was no audible notification as I had set the notification setting within the app to silent. After Nougat was installed, I received no notification at all.
Per a recommendation I found on the forum I cleared the app data, uninstalled the app updates, reinstalled the app updates, and my notifications returned. However, now I appear to have only two choices: led light flash WITH audible notification, or no notification at all. When I go into the app to disable the audible notification it also disables the led notification.
It appears that I can disable the audible notification in settings-->sounds and vibration, but I do want the audible notification for text messages, just not for emails.
