Do you wonder why you dont get notifications for your new Gmail messages, even though you have turned on notification in the apps settings?
simply to to one of the new "labels" like "social" for example, tap it, go to the menu squares in the top right corner, tap "label settings" and tick "label notification" and then repeat this for each label that you want to be notified for.
It took me ages to work out why I wasnt getting notifications.
