Gmail notification

[CarsnGadgets]

I am trying to get tasker to notify me of new gmails via tts (the "say" command).

I have a new profile that uses Events/UI and the Notification trigger, and have set the Owner to Gmail via the little rocket symbol on the right.

I then have that trigger a task called Gmail notify, that uses Misc/Say to say "New Gmail Sir". The task on its own runs fine.

But the profile doesnt run when I get new Gmails? I still get the notification in the bar, but the tasker profile task do not trigger?

any ideas?

i'm using a nexus 7 on 4.2.2 stock, latest version of tasker.

I don't know why it wouldn't work.

Double check the profile is enabled (sorry ...you've probably already done that).

Maybe try matching the title of the notification, rather than looking at the owner of the notification?
(I don't know why one approach would work and not the other, but worth a try)

Thanks for that,

I have it working now, I had clicked on the title field by accident, once i cleared the box it worked as expected.

Cheers
