Gmail Notifications Have Stopped

[trufflehunt]

1. I have a Samsung Galaxy Mini, on Android 2.2.1.

It's synced to my Gmail account, and I receive notifactions, the 'M' , in the status bar, sound notification is switched off.

All worked fine, until I noticed that today there has been no notifications, and when I check Gmail on the phone, the inbox looks just like it did last night. When I check my Gmail account from my Mac, all todays mail is in there.

Help please.....

See if the below fixes the problem:

Go into settings, Accounts & sync, turn off Background data and Auto-sync, restart the device, then go into settings and turn both back on. The phone will sync for a minute or two and that should have you straighten out.

Thanks for that, worked a treat.

Much appreciated.
