I have used MailDroid to pick up my emails from a couple of accounts- Yahoo and Gmail.
Out of interest I tried to install Gmail on the Orange San Francisco. A search of Android market for Gmail by PC finds the app with no problems. Using Market on the phone finds some Gmail associated apps but not Gmail itself. using the internet via the phone finds Gmail for android but I cannot download/install it.
this leaves me to believe that the Orange San Francisco is blocking it somehow.
I have rooted the phone and removed as much of the pre-installed orange junk as I can find. Maildroid picks up my Gmail accounts ok but why the blocking of Gmail on an android phone?
