GMail stuck in outbox and not sending...

When I try to send an email through the GMail app, it just gets stuck in the outbox and says "sending". I've looked through many forums and can't seem to find a definite fix or answer for this problem. The easiest solution is unchecking and rechecking the Gmail sync box in google sync, however that's sort of clumsy way to go about this. My pictures only were about 2.5kb each so well below the 25MB limit. Is there any other fixes or solutions, and why this problem is occuring ? I'm using Nexus 4 stock 4.3 by the way.

Try to teset app data and cache. If this don't work reset app data and cache to the GOOGLE FRAMEWORK APK.

Like Gekko says, NEVER clear cache/data for Google Service Framework.

For your not-sending issue, though, definitely try clearing data/cache for the Gmail app.

To be fair, if someone who helped design the OS tells you not to do something, it's probably best you don't (regardless of what other articles might say).

Anyhoo, DC1022 posted this nearly a month ago. I'm sure if it was still an issue, he/she would've let us know about it by now. :)

Thanks for the responses, I ended up after about an hour searching found some forum saying some crazy long solutions some people had, but i tried the shortest one, although not ideal, I just have to turn my wifi off and back on again and make sure it sends. Thanks for all the replies again though.

Turning wifi on and off does not work for me. I am not on wifi n9w. The gmail app has never worked. It is insanely glitchy. Is there a better email app that will work with gmail. If not, how is that posssible? My emails are all stuck in sending. the gmail app randomly doez this for a couple weeks at a time then works for a while. User activiy has nothing at all to dowl with the gmail app working or not. T7rning off your wifi, clearing cashe. Hahahahahaha. Youre doing a raindance son. The app is crap.

Clearing all data, turning off gmail sync and then force closing gmail and then opening it again, turning sync back on fixed it..... Thanks guys.

I had the same problem. For me none of the posted solutions worked. But what did work after trying everything else, was disable battery saving mode. There most be some configuration there that causes messages to queue. Hope this helps.
