Gmail Sync Question

ItsDoc

Lurker
If i change the settings on my Droid Razr phone, will it change the sync settings on all my other android devices? Basically I dont have my tablet in my possesion and i dont want it updating or pushing my gmail through to it, so is there somewhere i can go to disable the sync for my account as a whole or is it device specific?

You should be able to disable sync for everything on the Gmail website. Disabling sync on a device disables sync only for that device.

I admit I'm not the greatest with computers and what not, but I did check on the gmail site and was unable to find anything about my account as far as my mobile devices was concerned. I really appreciate the help

Simplest thing would be to go to your gmail app on your tablet...

Settings > (your account name) > Gmail Sync ......turn off Auto Sync App Data

I...I did check on the gmail site and was unable to find anything about my account as far as my mobile devices was concerned.
There's nothing specific regarding mobile devices. Gmail doesn't care what you're checking email with. If you turn off sync for the account, it disables sync everywhere. If you turn it of on a mobile device or PC, it's only turned off there.

Thats true, but i dont have the tablet with me unfortunately

Change the account password. Then log in with the new password on the devices that you want to access gmail. And the tablet not in your possession will no longer be able to sync.
