Gmail View Same as on Computer?

Hi
I use the phone galaxy S2 i777 from samsung and my os is Jelly bean 4.1.2.
When I connect to my gmail account, it displays me a different view from the one I see on the browser on my computer.
Yesterday I connected to the same email-account and it displayd me the standard view, just the same I see on my computer. Later I checked it agaiin and it showed me the Mobile version or the HTML-version.
How can I use the standard view (like in the browser of my computer with the chat list, background image....) everytime I connect?

Under Settings > Request Desktop Site

Then check the box next to it to keep it that way

OP, are you using your browser to connect, or the app? It sounds like the browser, but it can't hurt to clarify. Second, if you are using your browser to use the desktop version, bear in mind that it may not work as consistently as it will when you're on an actual desktop.
